After a decade in the commercial fishing industry as a leading provider to the Charleston, SC area, Preston sought a new profession to pursue during the off-season. He discovered painting while learning on the job in complete home remodeling. He quickly transitioned to painting private residences, primarily historic homes in Charleston, along with a variety of other painting projects beyond interior residential services. Working with clients to care for their real estate investments became something he looked forward to at the end of every season on the Atlantic waterways. As he gained knowledge and honed his skills, Preston realized that this was the type of work he would always enjoy. After relocating to Missouri, he decided to continue offering full-time painting and staining services in the Ozarks.
